Sometimes you just can’t decide what type of cookie to make. Or maybe that’s just me. I love peanut butter cookies…and oatmeal cookies…and chocolate chip cookies…
Do you have Peanut butter? Check.
Chocolate Chips? Check.
For times that you just can’t decide which cookie to make – make these!
This recipe combines the BEST of the best – chocolate chips, oatmeal, AND peanut butter – into one fantabulous cookie!!
Soft and tender from the peanut butter, a slight toasted flavour from the oats and just the right amount of sweetness from the chocolate chips. Go preheat your oven to 350 degrees now and get started!!
½ cup butter
½ cup white sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup peanut butter
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup rolled oats
1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla and egg until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the batter just until moistened. Mix in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. The cookies will not look “done” when you pull them out of the oven, but they will continue to cook on the hot baking sheets out of the oven. If they are slightly brown, the edges look just set and they are puffy in the middle, they are ready to come out!
Cool on cookie sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
